One of my favorite Christmas songs was originally a French poem composed by Placide Cappeau in the mid 1800's. It was translated into English and set to music by Adolphe Adam in 1847. It was the second piece of music to be played on the very first radio broadcast ever on December 24, 1906. I am so thankful for that Holy Night when our Savior was born.
