Happy days are here again...

Well, I graduate from my outpatient therapy group on Thursday. It's been intensive, three times a week three hours a day. I've made friends and grown so comfortable there, that I'm a little anxious to leave. I even took my violin to group on Monday (I was 'volun-told' that I had to do it. It's like volunteered, only it was someone else's idea). I played a few silly songs, but it was so healing to pick it up again and remember that I was good at it. I played Edelweiss from the Sound of Music, and Amazing Grace for the music for our meditation and it was very peaceful.

I really have learned some wonderful things from therapy, and I highly recomend it for everyone (even if you're not as crazy as me). Maybe I'll have to have another breakdown so they can sign me up for the program again! I'm not 'cured,' that doesn't happen with mental illnes. I just have more coping skills than I did before so that once my medication is balanced and the chemical part is controlled, then the social, behavioral and emotional parts can get stronger again. Who knows, maybe I'll even be a better person than I was before the crash happened!

I am a huge fan of this blog, but this has got to be the funniest post I've read in a long time. I don't even know who she is, just that we live in the same city and graduated from the same high school (many many years apart). Twilight sarcasm has never been more entertaining.

Girls, if you've read Twilight then you know that Edward is unrealistic. He's created an impossible standard for all men to live up to. Husbands, am I lying? Does your wife compare you to him? Did she leave you for a book? (not kidding, it's happened).

Lauren has taken all aspects of the book and movie and divided it between 'realistic' and 'unrealistic.' Yes, he should open doors for you and take you on real dates. No, he shouldn't sparkle in sunlight and kill your enemies. I love it!!!

Old, but still so true... happy tax day

Jill's garden

garden, originally uploaded by jills.stuff.

I missed planting season by too much to buy seeds this spring, so I just got plants that were already sprouted so I could catch up. It was a really hot day to decide to do a little gardening, but thankfully I had a lot of shade in the afternoon. I can't wait to eat this food in... two or three months!

Now I just have to keep my dogs and the neighborhood kids out of it. Maybe I'll fence it in and get a huge sign that says "GET OUT!" Except dogs can't read, and neighborhood kids don't care.
